Stevenage Borough Council became the eleventh Council to be actively using the FAME Pro film permit management service on 1 April.
Stevenage Borough Council is the local authority for the Stevenage non-metropolitan district of England, across the north-east of Hertfordshire.
Stevenage and its surrounding areas provide a range of locations available for filming and photography. Productions to date include Stanley Kubrick’s “Eyes Wide Shut” with Tom Cruise, “Spy Game” starring Brad Pitt and Robert Redford and the mystery/thriller “The Big Sleep” (1978). It’s also provided locations for television dramas “Foyles War”, “Inspector Morse” and “Poirot.”
From Hertfordshire’s countryside to Stevenage town centre there are a variety of locations for television, film or campaign-led shoots and stills:
- Museums and churches
- Parks and open spaces including 120 acres at Fairlands Valley Park
- Four lakes for water-based filming
- Old town high street
- New town built 1946 – 1980
Stevenage is located less than half an hour from the M25 and approximately 90 minutes from London. The main town is situated close to other properties that have featured in films and music videos, including Hatfield House and Knebworth House.
We’re delighted to be working with Stevenage, promoting their film locations to our extensive database of UK filmmakers and locations managers.
