Thanks to MARV Studios and an investment of £13 million, former Aida Bliss Foundry building on the edge of Derby city centre has been transformed into a new film studio and stunt training academy after 20 years of closure. Putting Derby on the international film stage and making it a key player in the industry, the facility includes:

  • 80,000 sq ft of space
  • 3 film studios
  • Europe’s first ever dedicated stunt training academy
  • Rehabilitation centre for elite sports participants and the wider stunt industry
  • New home for Derby City Gymnastics Club and Gym
  • Provides a National Centre of Excellence in areas of tumbling, trampolining and martial arts and parkour

The project was welcomed by many due to the prospects of more jobs in the area as well as attracting more filmmakers and visitors alike.
