FAME Pro is simplifying the logistics of filmmaking.

Film producers and location managers are using it to source and manage their production requirements, and film industry professionals are applying it to market themselves.

Initially developed for West Sussex County Council, multiple councils are now using it and benefitting from the film economy - generating income from their properties through film permitting. The system is handling all their film permit applications and helping promote their locations.

What's included in the free FAME Pro service for Councils?

The FAME Pro service for councils includes:

  • A responsive, industry-savvy customer service team to manage filming permit applications on your behalf
  • Use of the cloud-based FAME Pro permit management system (GDPR compliant)
  • Marketing of your city, district or county to filmmakers
  • Use of the FAME Pro location library to list council-owned properties, land, parks and public spaces available for shoots

There's no set-up fee, contract or cost to use FAME Pro - these are borne by the industry.

In April, Stevenage Borough Council became the eleventh Council to come onboard and benefit from using the FAME Pro film permit management service. Other Councils have been using the service since 2019 and have seen an increase in revenue year-on-year.
